With a little help, you can build your website in a weekend.

I will teach you how to build your business website.

If you have tried building your website but aren’t getting anywhere, or you’ve finished building your website and are a little ashamed that it doesn’t look professional, there is a solution. You won't have to spend all of your nights and weekends, getting irritated hour after hour, trying to make things look right and then — POOF, IT'S ALL GONE!

You don’t have to live with an ugly, half-finished website. If you're tired of failing or just want to get it done right the first time, don't give up! I can help.

It’s never as easy as they say on TV. Ask somebody.

The TV commercials say it over and over, “You can build your website in an hour.” I build websites every day, and I can’t build a website in an hour. Even if you could build a website that quickly, would it really look the way that you want? More importantly, would it work the way that you need it to in order to get you business?

A Live, In-Person Workshop to Build Your Website in a Weekend

Yes, You CAN Do It!

ray-mitchell

Your Workshop Leader

I’m Ray Mitchell and for more than decade, I’ve built websites for small businesses and non-profits. During that time, I’ve learned how to build websites quickly for all types and all sizes of businesses. If you’re a startup or a smaller local business, you don’t need a big, complex website. You need a website that lets your potential customers or donors know who you are and what you do best.

The Build it in a Weekend Workshop is exactly what it says. I'll show you how to build your website using the world's most popular website platform, WordPress. WordPress powers 1 out of every 3 websites on the internet. It's easy enough to use for kids in the Scouts and for the local PTA, but robust enough for sites like Rolling Stone, the New York Post, Vogue and AMC's The Walking Dead. Your website will grow with your business.

I'm so sure that we can do this together that I'll make this promise: if you do your pre-work, attend all sessions and make your best effort, and you still can't build your website, I'll build it for you.

What Kind of Website Can I Build?

The Build it in a Weekend workshop covers the basics of building a WordPress website for a local business or small non-profit website.

During the workshop, we'll build a 5 to 6 page site, an attractive Home page, along with your About page, a Products or Services page, a page for Frequently Asked Questions, a Contact page with an email contact form, and a donations page suitable for non-profits. With the skills you will learn during the workshop, you will be able to add as many pages to your website as you need.

How Much Is It?

Imagine all the time you'll save, going from a blank screen to a business-ready website in one weekend.

Tuition for the workshop is $597 and includes the pre-build guide, three days of sessions, snacks and the help you'll need to get your website launched. On our first night, I'll show you where to purchase your website hosting and the software we use to design your website, approximately $150 (and your domain name if you don't already have one).
